BitDefender Security Scan is a free security tool that analyzes your computer and creates a report about the speed, performance and safety of your system.

Using BitDefender Security Scan is piece of cake. The program runs automatically right after installation and scans the system in all major areas. It checks whether the antivirus and firewall are working fine, makes sure Windows is up to date, analyzes the Registry in search of possible errors and finally looks for potential malware.

Scans are surprisingly fast. Once finished, BitDefender Security Scan presents the results in an easy, readable list, though it doesn’t include any technical details. A “Risk level indicator” is enough for the program to inform you about the situation.

Unfortunately this is pretty much everything BitDefender Security Scan can do for you. In case you want to fix any errors found by the program, the only thing the ‘Fix all’ button does is take you to the developer’s website where you can buy the appropriate tool to repair your system.

BitDefender Security Scan performs a quick system security check and features a pleasant interface, but sadly it doesn’t let you fix the issues found by the program.
